Research Notes provide a Notion-style editor for capturing and organizing your research in a hierarchical structure.

Overview

Research Notes are designed for:

  • User interviews — Document conversations and insights
  • Competitive analysis — Track competitor features and strategies
  • Market research — Capture industry trends and data
  • Meeting notes — Record decisions and action items
  • General documentation — Any research-related content

Creating Notes

New Note

  1. Navigate to ResearchResearch Notes
  2. Click + New Page in the sidebar
  3. Enter a title for your note
  4. Start writing in the editor

Nested Pages

Create a hierarchy by nesting pages:

  1. Hover over an existing page in the sidebar
  2. Click the + icon that appears
  3. A new child page is created
  4. Drag and drop to reorganize

The Editor

Research Notes use a rich block-based editor similar to Notion.

Drag and Drop

  • Click and drag the ⋮⋮ handle to reorder blocks
  • Drag blocks between columns
  • Nest blocks by dragging to indent

Page Icons

Customize your pages with icons:

  1. Click the icon area next to the title
  2. Choose from the emoji picker
  3. Or select "No icon" to remove

Icons help you quickly identify pages in the sidebar.

AI Assistance

Ask Molley About Your Notes

Click the Molley button on any note to:

  • Summarize the content
  • Extract key insights
  • Generate action items
  • Expand on ideas
  • Improve writing

Context-Aware Help

When you ask Molley for help with research notes, it knows:

  • Your company context
  • Your project details
  • The content of the current note
  • Related notes and research
