Research Notes provide a Notion-style editor for capturing and organizing your research in a hierarchical structure.
Overview
Research Notes are designed for:
- User interviews — Document conversations and insights
- Competitive analysis — Track competitor features and strategies
- Market research — Capture industry trends and data
- Meeting notes — Record decisions and action items
- General documentation — Any research-related content
Creating Notes
New Note
- Navigate to Research → Research Notes
- Click + New Page in the sidebar
- Enter a title for your note
- Start writing in the editor
Nested Pages
Create a hierarchy by nesting pages:
- Hover over an existing page in the sidebar
- Click the + icon that appears
- A new child page is created
- Drag and drop to reorganize
The Editor

- Text formatting — Bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, inline code
- Block types — Headings, quotes, code blocks, callouts
- Lists — Bullet, numbered, and checklist (to-do)
- Tables — Full table support with navigation

Page Icons
Customize your pages with icons:
- Click the icon area next to the title
- Choose from the emoji picker
- Or select "No icon" to remove

Click the Molley button on any note to:
- Summarize the content
- Extract key insights
- Generate action items
- Expand on ideas
- Improve writing
Context-Aware Help
When you ask Molley for help with research notes, it knows:
